Writers/Writing Submissions

BrianX Magazine is currently recruiting new writers. This is an excellent promotional opportunity since thousands of visitors come to the site every single day.

Mandatory Article Format

• Articles must have a clear point.
• Articles should be approximately 500 - 1,000 words (about 2-4 pages double spaced in MS Word).
• There should be a clear introduction, middle, and conclusion.
• There should be a header above most paragraphs.

Compensation

• There is no financial compensation.
• You will get tremendous exposure as a writer, especially if the article is well-written and on a hot topic.
• You benefit from getting published in an online magazine with millions of visitors.
• Your article will be up indefinitely.
• You can have an author page (with a photo, bio, list of published articles, and a link to your website)

Important Information for Authors

• BrianX.com reserves the right to edit all submissions.
• All articles that are published must be 100% unique and original, and may not be published anywhere else before or after it is published on BrianX.com (that includes derivatives of the article).
• You must be the original author of the content.
• If you publish the same or a similar article anywhere else at any time, you agree to relinquish your status as author of that article as published on BrianX.com. The article may be further edited or removed completely from the site. Either way, you agree that BrianX.com will claim ownership of the article under those circumstances. (Sorry, but some smart a*”es think that publishing here first and then reprinting it a dozen times over is acceptable. It’s not - we’re looking for exclusive work).

Models Wanted

If you’re a model, BrianX Magazine can help you get a lot of added attention and get your career started or help it grow. While many sites offer similar pages, BrianX Magazine offers the important advantage of having a custom-made webpage that is optimized for search engines. That means your personal page will work its way to the top of Google when someone types your name in. The personal touch is always better than merely being a number. The Featured Model pages are free promotional pages that you can use to get word out about you.

BrianX Magazine Featured Models receive a lot of attention, job offers (paid and volunteer), photography opportunities, and fan feedback and mail. If these interest you, then you may want to apply!

Model Applications

To become a featured model, your submission MUST include ALL of the following:

1. Photos: Photos are what’s going to get you noticed so send in good ones. Submit at least 6 pictures (mix it up with headshots, glamour, lingerie and bikini shots). Do not send all headshots. Do not send tiny photos. Photos must be of professional photographer grade. Do not send photos taken by your web cam, cell phone, or crappy camera. If you want to make it as a model, you’ll have to hire a professional who has professional grade equipment.
2. A biography (Talk about you, where you’re from, why you love modeling, what you do for fun, school or work, special talents, etc…). Ideally, it will be written from your perspective, as in “I love modeling because…” rather than “She loves modeling because…”
3. A list of your most important modeling experiences.
4. Ideally, send in your body measurements, birth date (we won’t publish the year), shoe size, dress size, or any distinctive features.
5. Your location and contact information (You must include YOUR email address, not your boyfriend’s).

Important Notes for Models

• Do not submit emails that don’t have text, with just a couple of photos attached. They will be ignored.
• Do not just send a picture with no information about yourself or what you are asking for (you’d be surprised how frequently such moronic emails come in). Write something!
• You can send in a web address of a site you are featured on as long as you provide the above information, but do not send an email with a simple message like “Hi, I want to model, visit here to see my portfolio.” Those get deleted right away.
• If you’re serious about modeling, you will follow the instructions above and you’ll have a better chance of getting featured.

The bottom line is, make it easy for us to promote you.

Diva of the Month

Diva of the Month is an extremely popular feature. You get interviewed and the interview gets featured throughout the site. You can also show off the title of “Diva of the Month” or “Miss September 2011″ all over the place.

BrianX Magazine is always on the lookout for the next Diva of the Month. We are not merely looking for T&A (which is why we call it Diva of the Month and not Model of the Month). This is a highly competitive spot since many submissions come in each month. Browse through past Divas and you will see a wide range of talented women who have graced the cyber pages of BrianX Magazine.

Here is a partial list of women we’d like to feature as Diva of the Month:

• Models
• Actresses
• Singers
• Female DJs
• Comedians
• Fire performers, Belly Dancers, Dancers
• Fitness competitors
• Wrestlers
• Women from another country (i.e., not American), offering a unique perspective
• Twins/Triplets/Sisters (doing any of the above)
• A lot of other ‘looks’ or specialties that are not listed but you get the idea!

Criteria for Diva of the Month:

1. You have pictures taken by a professional photographer
2. A biography
3. A list of your experience
4. Your location and contact information
5. It’s preferable that you have a website, MySpace page, or similar online presence

How to Apply

• Send an email to this address with some information about you, a link to your website if you have one, and at least one picture.

Note: As Diva of the Month, your feature will stay up for a long time, as per the Terms and Conditions of this website.
