What
were you like as a kid?
Nadia Bjorlin: I grew up with a fairly large
family compared to today's standards. I have 2 sisters and 3
brothers. We had a lot of fun and we were close. I grew up in Sweden
in the early years and then the East Coast - Florida and
Manhattan.
How did you get into acting?
I studied music first. My father was a conductor and composer of
classical music, so my whole family is very musical... we all (my
brothers and sisters) played the piano, sang, and played different
instruments. Eventually the music segued to musical theater and then
acting. So I've basically been performing my whole life. I was cast
on DAYS (Days of our Lives) right when I graduated high school and
it was perfect because the prerequisite for the character of Chloe
was opera singing.
What's your fondest memory from Days of our
Lives?
The people definitely. I was there for 5 years - you work with most
of them day in and day out and they become like your family. I feel
like I grew up there. They were my "college years."
What's your role in the film Redline?
I play Natasha Martin, who owns an auto body shop which specializes
in modifying high end cars. It's a family shop...my mom even works
there. I love to race cars as well, but my dad was a race car driver
who died racing, so even though I love it, I've vowed never to do it
though that vow doesn't last for long. :) I also have a
garage band, so I get to sing!
What's the deal with the Wonder Woman movie?
Warner Bros. received their first script and they didn't like it so
now they are starting from scratch. So once a new script is
written - they will start searching for the right actress - I hope
by
then I am still up for the part!
What is your favorite type of acting role?
I guess anything that's challenging is always great. It's fun and
rewarding to learn from your work.
What has been the best experience?
Any scenes where handsome men fight over me, or any scenes involving
ice cream.
Worst experience?
Any scenes where they hose you down with water, or if I'm cold....I
get cold very easily...
Have you been recognized in public?
I was on a very popular soap, need I say more? :)
Has anyone ever run up to you in the street
and brought you flowers?
Nope....still waiting.....
What's the most common question that people
ask you?
"Do you really sing?"
What 3 words best describe you?
Generous, genuine, and genius.....well, I don't know, I just wanted
to use 3 words that start with "G."
What do you think is your sexiest body part?
Definitely not my knees. I don't like them. :) I think my eyes,
because they are a combination of both my mom and dad.
Name anyone, alive or dead, who you would
love to hang out with.
My father. He passed away when I was 13, and I was too
young to have really known what he thought and felt about so many
things. I would ask him everything I've ever wanted to know in life,
because he was so incredibly smart.
What do you want the world to know about
you?
My guilty pleasures include bad reality TV and the Pussycat Dolls.
Oh, and I've very sarcastic.
 Favorite upcoming projects?
Redline is a really cool and exciting movie that opens in theaters
nationwide on April 13th. It's a fast paced action movie that
features all the highest end cars in the world! The Ferrari Enzo,
Maclaren SLR, Porsche Carrera GT, Lambourghini Murcielago, Saleen
S7, Ford GT 340, and the list goes on! And the hilarious Eddie
Griffin is in it too. Even if you're not a car fanatic you'll (love)
it.
I also have a movie
called "If I Had Known I was a Genius" which was just at the
Sundance film festival, with Markus Redmond, Whoopi Goldberg, Sharon
Stone, Tara Reid, and a plethora of other great and funny character
actors in it. Don't know when it's coming out in theaters yet, but I'll
let you know. :)
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Well, all I can ask for is to be happy, healthy and successful. And
a ridiculous amount of wealth and an Oscar wouldn't hurt either.....
;)
Where do you live these days?
I now reside in LA-LA land... also known as Los Angeles. :)
