What
were you like as a kid?
Tami Donaldson: Yes, I was an active kid. I danced since I was about 8
years old, tap, jazz,
and ballet. So, that took up most of my free time. I was a cheerleader up
until middle school.
How did you get into modeling?
When I was about 15, my Dad and I were in a mall and a scout approached
us and the rest is history.
Describe the Maxim Hometown Hotties experience.
The reason I entered the Hometown Hottie contest is because one of my best
friends was entering and mentioned it to me. She said, "what do you have
to lose." So, I ended up entering on the very last day.
What has been your best experience modeling?
I think winning the Hotties competition was the best experience I have had
in the industry. It has opened so many doors, I have met so many
people, and experienced so many things because of it.
Worst experience?
The worst experience when I was about 21 and I met with a photographer
for a shoot and all he wanted to do was get me naked. He was sooooo creepy. I
ended up leaving the shoot. He's lucky my Dad didn't kill him!
Are you a big partier?
At this point in my life I'm focusing on my career, so that comes first.
But, don't get me wrong I love a night out with my friends with drinking and
dancing. I usually am the one who ends up dancing on the bar or
couches - so I guess you could say I'm a BIG partier. I'm from Miami, so that the kind of
partying I'm used to. Currently, I live in LA and the nightlife is a little
boring.
What do you do in your downtime?
In my downtime I like to workout, rollerblade, shop, shop, shop, go to the
beach, just relaxing at home with my two little dogs is always great.
Have you been recognized as a model in
public?
Yes, I have been recognized a few times as the girl from Maxim. It's cool to
know people like what you do.
Has anyone ever run up to you in the street and brought you
flowers?
Yes, I have had flowers given to me from a stranger, but it was in a nightclub. I have also had a guy buy dinner for my friend and
I. We were sitting next to him. That was really cool!
What's the most common question that people ask
you?
How did you get into modeling? [Editor's Note: Guilty!] or Can you help me get into
modeling?
Favorite vacation spot?
Hawaii! Love love love it there!
Favorite food?
Wow! This is hard because I have a few. I love pizza, pasta, chocolate chip
cookies, and chocolate cake.
Favorite music?
I love house music to dance to, but I listen to almost everything besides
country. Sorry all you country folk!
What do you think is your sexiest body part?
Well, I've been told my butt because it's "tight." haha!
What do you look for in the men you date?
First and foremost, honesty, a sense of humor, dependable, and outgoing and oh
yeah, a freak in bed! shhhhh!
Name anyone, alive or dead, who you would love
to hang out with.
My Grandpa. I never got to say goodbye.
Favorite upcoming projects?
I will be appearing on a new game show on ABC called the All American Dream
Vote, so look for that and I'm also in the running for a another show on the oxygen network as the host. So keep your fingers crossed for that. And of
course, Maxim layouts.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years I hope to be a host of a show and travel the world and find my
soul mate and get married.
Where are you from/live now?
From Miami, FL but I live in LA now. Always, an East coast girl!
